The $1,500 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em championship was the fifth event held at the 2008 WSOP. Event #39 attracted 2,720 entries, with the top 270 finishers sharing the $3,712,800 prize pool. This was the fifth of seven $1,500 No-Limit Hold’em tournaments on the event schedule this year. Other than the Main Event, the No Limit Hold’em events at this buy-in level have proven to be the most popular draw at the WSOP.
